Marketing & Branding Intern
This role gets HR professionals to show up. That's the job.
You tell HRIN's story so well that people open the newsletter, show up to events, and talk about us to their peers.
Apply for this roleThis is a genuinely important hire for us right now. Every event, every newsletter, every LinkedIn post is a chance for HRIN to earn trust with HR professionals, or lose it. We need someone who takes that seriously.
HRIN is a closed, vetted, HR-only professional community, built for HR people to ask real questions and grow without sales noise or generic content getting in the way. We're small, and deliberately so. You won't be one of twenty interns lost in a rotation. You'll work directly with the founder, watch decisions get made in real time, and see your work land in front of real HR professionals every single week.
HRIN shows up in the world in three ways: the content people read, the newsletter they open, and the events they attend. Your job is to make all three feel worth someone's time.
Not generic AI hot-takes. Not filler content. Writing and events that a genuinely experienced HR professional would find credible. If you like the idea of being the reason people show up, keep reading.
Content & social: your core job
- Plan and publish LinkedIn and other social content in HRIN's voice
- Keep content grounded in real practitioner value, not generic AI tips or filler
- Track what's landing and adjust, rather than posting on autopilot
Newsletter
- Source content from community discussions, Vault resources, and CHAP outcomes
- Draft and maintain the editorial calendar
- Send on a fixed cadence and track open and click rates
Events, end to end
- Set up the event page with accurate details and registration
- Coordinate with panelists and speakers, including invitations and follow-up
- Promote the event across community, social, and newsletter channels
- Support live hosting on the day, and send post-event follow-up
Report what you've done
- A weekly update on content published, newsletter performance, and status of any upcoming event
Direct mentorship from the founder on brand, storytelling, and how an early-stage company builds trust
A strong letter of recommendation backed by real content and events you shipped, not vague praise
A clear path to a full-time paid role at HRIN if the fit is right on both sides
A real seat at the table in a company building something HR professionals actually want
- The newsletter goes out on a fixed cadence, with no missed sends
- Newsletter open and click rates hold steady or improve over time
- Every event runs end to end with a clear runbook, no last-minute scrambles
- Event attendance and engagement are tracked and reported after every event
- Content and messaging consistently sound like HRIN: human, credible, no sales language
- A fresh graduate with genuinely strong writing skills. You'll be the voice of HRIN in most of what people read, and that matters more to us than your resume
- Comfortable owning logistics end to end, not just the creative part
- Calm under a live event, detail-oriented when things need a last-minute fix
- Full-time availability, no exceptions. This role needs daily ownership
- HR domain knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement. We care more about your curiosity about the profession than a background in it
