HRIN ("HRIN", "we", "our", or "us") is a community and learning platform built for HR professionals. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us through our website, app, and programs.

This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to thehrin.org, the HRIN app, and any HRIN programs you participate in, including CHAP.

Information you provide. Your name, email address, phone number, organisation, role, and any other details you submit when you contact us, register for a program, apply for membership, join the HRIN community, or sign up for the HRIN app.

Communications. When you message us on email, WhatsApp, or through any of our official channels, we retain the content of those messages to respond to you and keep a record of the interaction.

Automatically collected information. When you visit our website, we may collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring URLs. This is collected through standard server logs and analytics tools.

Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and measure how people use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the site may not work as expected.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate our website, the HRIN app, and our programs.
  • Respond to your enquiries and process your registration or application.
  • Verify that members are genuine HR professionals before granting community access.
  • Send program updates, cohort details, certificates, and other communications related to services you have signed up for.
  • Share occasional updates about HRIN initiatives, where you have consented to receive them.
  • Improve our content, programs, and the way the platform works.
  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations and protect against fraud or abuse.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the limited ways described below:

Service providers. We use trusted third-party providers for hosting, email delivery, payments, analytics, and similar functions. These providers may process your data on our behalf and are required to handle it in line with this policy.

Programs and partners. If you enrol in a program run with an institution or partner, we may share relevant participation details with them, limited to what is needed to deliver the program.

Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HRIN, our members, or the public.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as is needed to provide our services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer have a reason to retain your information, we delete it or anonymise it.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and respond promptly to any incidents.

  • Correct any information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Request deletion of your information, where there is no continuing legal or operational reason to retain it.

HRIN is intended for working HR professionals and adult learners. Our services are not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
